The evidence of ESBL (Extended-Spectrum Beta-Lactamases) performed with the help of double-disk synergy test.
Inactivation of ESBL by a beta-lactam inhibitor (clavulanic acid). The positive reaction is manifested by a typical spreading
of the inhibitory zones towards the disk containing Augmentin (amoxicillin + clavulanic acid). Medium Mueller-Hinton agar,
cultivation 37°C, 24 hours.
